He saw the holographic nature of the universe as a small boy and has had a n eye for pattern and the interconnected aspect of all things ever since.\ n\nHe has acted as a professional artist\, educator\, coach\, entrepreneur \, author\, gardener\, family man\, sun bather\, body surfer\, appreciator of all things beautiful\, mystic\, outcast and other roles. The common th read through it all has been curiosity. He wonders how things work\, wheth er it’s propaganda and mind control or how color and pigments work or wh at the anatomy of personal relationships and emotions are.\n\nOne such pat tern that occurred to him was the consistent way that thinking seemed to f ollow a pattern. It took years to distill and test his theory. The result was a clear picture of how human intelligence works in individuals and how collective intelligence works in groups. It’s all about questions.\n\nA t this phase in life\, his question is\, “What am I uniquely positioned to contribute to humanity that no one else is doing?”\n\nThe Question-Dr iven Approach™ Program is one answer to that question. It’s a big expe riment because the territory of the question-driven mind is enormous and h e believes he has merely scratched the surface. He wants to see what can h appen and what big questions can be invented and explored as more individu als join the expedition.\n\nRobert’s background is in education\, art an d interpersonal communication. A graduate of Cal Berkeley\, a Peace Corps Volunteer in India\, CEO of Springer Exercise Equipment Corp. in San Franc isco\, student of Dick Nelson and the Maui tri-hue watercolor technique\, and founding director of Collective Intelligence Solutions\, where he furt her refined concepts for the Question-Driven Approach to Life™. In 1997\ , he co-produced the Women’s Global Voice.\n\nHe believes we all have th e innate ability to perform at a higher level\, to rise to new occasions\, not by trying harder but by thinking more deliberately. Creativity was part of growing up. I n NY Liz worked summers for her dad\, a Madison Avenue commercial artist w hose ad art filled full pages in many major magazines. At home he was alwa ys creating in various media and Liz was in the middle of it.\n\nBut Liz a lso enjoyed the precision of mathematical structures and graphic geometry. In 1972 she earned her degree in Math Education from SUNY. About that tim e her architect brother\, a Seabee stationed at Whidbey NAS\, discovered W hatcom Co. and convinced the family to move west. Once here she met and ma rried an itinerant metal sculptor who continues to marvel at her creations .\n\nLiz taught Mathematics for most of her career but spent much of her f ree time sewing\, crocheting and quilting\; putting miscellaneous small pi eces together to create something big and beautiful.\nLiz was bitten by th e beading bug when a work colleague offered a workshop on how to make a be aded necklace of hers. She began watching beading videos on YouTube. Each video taught a new stitch which led to a new piece of jewelry. Eventually\ , she became brave enough to combine stitches and techniques into unique d esigns she could call her own. She has been creating necklaces\, bracelets and earrings for 10 years. Still combining tiny pieces into larger ones\, with her mathematical influences clearly evident. Her favorite saying\, “Symmetry is natural\, chaos is difficult”.\n\nHer work can be seen in Bellingham at the Whatcom Art Market\, Allied Arts and Gallery West\, in Lynden at Jansen Art Center.\n\nFacebook.com/LizbethBeadedJewelry ATTACH;FMTTYPE=image/jpeg:https://whatcomartcenter.org/wp-content/uploads/ 2025/09/Festival-of-Lights-Collage.jpg CATEGORIES:Class LOCATION:Whatcom Art Center\, 1105 11St\, Bellingham\, Washington\, 98225\, United States X-APPLE-STRUCTURED-LOCATION;VALUE=URI;X-ADDRESS=1105 11St\, Bellingham\, Wa shington\, 98225\, United States;X-APPLE-RADIUS=100;X-TITLE=Whatcom Art Ce nter:geo:0,0 END:VEVENT BEGIN:VEVENT UID:150@whatcomartcenter.org DTSTART:20251113T210000Z DTEND:20251114T010000Z DTSTAMP:20250211T222345Z URL:https://whatcomartcenter.org/events/wag-watercolor-group-2025-11-13/ SUMMARY:WAG Watercolor Group DESCRIPTION:Monthly recurring meeting of the WAG Watercolor special interes t group CATEGORIES:WAG Meetings LOCATION:Whatcom Art Center\, 1105 11St\, Bellingham\, Washington\, 98225\, United States X-APPLE-STRUCTURED-LOCATION;VALUE=URI;X-ADDRESS=1105 11St\, Bellingham\, Wa shington\, 98225\, United States;X-APPLE-RADIUS=100;X-TITLE=Whatcom Art Ce nter:geo:0,0 END:VEVENT BEGIN:VEVENT UID:214@whatcomartcenter.org DTSTART:20251118T030000Z DTEND:20251118T050000Z DTSTAMP:20251114T194446Z URL:https://whatcomartcenter.org/events/whatcom-art-guild-monthly-meeting- 2025-11-24/ SUMMARY:Whatcom Art Guild Monthly Meeting DESCRIPTION:Join us for the last WAG meeting of the year at the Whatcom Art Center! Ceci believes in the power of color and form and has come to believe that art is an expression of cos mic love.  She invites you to share and be part of the moment.\n\nNote th at 15% of sales funds a scholarship for low-income students at Fairhaven C ollege\, WWU.\n\nOn display\, you will also see her larger pieces of work . \n\nCeci Lopez has always been a creator but took her several decades t o recognize it. In 2024\, at the age of 54\, she found art as a way to hea l deep grief following the unexpected passing of her mom. This newly found way of engaging with emotions opened her to recognize her deeply held lov e for art making. She joined the Milan Art Institute in April 2024 and beg an a journey that would transform her life\, worldview\, and the way she e ngages the power within to mitigate the powers without - that is\, remembe ring the wisdom of the self.  Art allowed Ceci to tear down deep walls er ected to protect her heart from her feelings. Finding art as a way to move through grief reminded her to live from the heart\, a teaching she receiv ed as a child from her great-grand father\, a bee keeper in Guatemala. Cec i’s art is all about feelings and this has helped her in her quest to re connect with her ancestral wisdom and re-center her sense of self in her i dentity.\n\nWith her art\, Ceci invites the viewer to enter a world where there is joy\, action\, emotion\, tenderness\, and love. She paints the wo rld as it should be\, free from the rigidity and the fear of feelings. A p lace where we recognize the energetic world around us as a living teacher\ , as a partner in how we create life.
