SUMMARY:Acrylic Painting Class for all Levels (Session 1 of 4)
DESCRIPTION:Acrylic Exploration: Techniques\, Color Mixing and Creating Tex
 tures (session 1)\n\nIn this class\, students will explore color and techn
 ique through hands-on practice and guided experimentation. We’ll learn h
 ow to mix colors with confidence\, use complementary colors to create bala
 nce\, and build rich textures that add depth and interest to a painting. S
 tudents will come away with a stronger understanding of color\, texture\, 
 and value to apply in their own work.\n\nThis is a 4-part class\, consisti
 ng of two-hour sessions occurring on the following dates:\n\n 	May 4\n 	Ma
 y 11\n 	May 18\n 	June 1\n\nArt Medium: Acrylic\n\nInstructor: Bev Davis\n
 \nCost: $140 for four classes\n\nRegistration and Payment: Sign up for thi

 size: 12\n\nExperience level: No experience required/intermediate.\n\nMate
 rials provided: All materials will be provided but students may choose to 
 purchase their own canvases\n\nMaterials to bring: Wear painting clothes o
 r apron recommended - acrylic paint does not wash out. Bring water to drin
 k if desired.\n\nInstructor Bio\n\nBeverly Davis has a degree in Visual Co
 mmunications from the Art Institute of Seattle\, majoring in Illustration 
 and Graphic Design. Art has been threaded through her life extensively fro
 m commission work and involvement in the local Art Guild in Bellingham\, W
 ashington to teaching art enrichment classes and private lessons.\n\nPaint
 ing since 1990\, Bev is best known for her realistic style which brings po
 rtraits of animals and people to life. She\ncontinues to explore the use o
 f light and color in her paintings to capture the beauty of the Pacific No
 rthwest where she lives.\n\nCurrently Beverly sells her work online (BevsA
 rt.com) and at the Whatcom Art Market\, a local co-op gallery. Many of her
  recent pieces are also on her instagram @BevsArt.\n\n
