DESCRIPTION:Watercolor Exploration: Surfaces\, Techniques\, and Creations (
 Session 1)\n\nDive into the vibrant world of watercolor in this hands-on c
 lass! Over the course of the workshop\, you’ll learn about various surfa
 ces suitable for watercolor painting\, including papers\, boards\, and wat
 ercolor ground.\n\nKey topics include:\n\n 	Understanding Surfaces - Explo
 re the characteristics of various papers and boards\, and learn how the di
 fferent surfaces effect the final art.\n 	Watercolor Paints - Gain insight
  into the differences between student-grade and professional paints\n 	Str
 etching Watercolor Paper Technique - Learn ways to stretch watercolor pape
 r to prevent buckling.\n\nBy the end of this class\, you’ll leave with a
 t least two finished watercolor paintings\, a solid understanding of the m
 aterials\, and the confidence to continue exploring your creative journey.

 isual Communications from the Art Institute of Seattle\, majoring in Illus
 tration and Graphic Design. Art has been threaded through her life extensi
 vely from commission work and involvement in the local Art Guild in Bellin
 gham\, Washington to teaching art enrichment classes and private lessons.\
 n\nPainting since 1990\, Bev is best known for her realistic style which b
 rings portraits of animals and people to life. She\ncontinues to explore t
 he use of light and color in her paintings to capture the beauty of the Pa
 cific Northwest where she lives.\n\nCurrently Beverly sells her work onlin
 e (BevsArt.com) and at the Whatcom Art Market\, a local co-op gallery. Man
