SUMMARY:Mosaic Home Address Sign - Intermediate 3-Class Workshop Series
DESCRIPTION:Mosaic Home Address Sign – requires three 3-hour classes to c
omplete the project – Sept 19\, 26 and Oct 3\, 2026\n\nAre you ready to
take your mosaic skills to the next level?\n\nThis workshop is an opportun
ity to move beyond simple projects and begin working with greater intentio
n—developing stronger designs\, cleaner execution\, and pieces that are
both beautiful and functional.\n\nTogether\, we’ll take broken pieces—
ceramic and stone—and bring them into relationship to create a custom ad
dress sign designed to be clearly seen from the street and to belong on yo
ur home for years to come. Weatherproof!\n\nAbout the Workshop\n\n This i
s a three-session intermediate workshop\, designed to give you the time an
d structure needed to do this work well.\n We’ll be working with the in
direct (reverse) method\, allowing you to build your design on a mesh subs
trate before it is permanently set. This approach supports more precise la
youts\, smoother finished surfaces\, and the ability to adjust your compos
ition as you go.\n You’ll also be introduced to ceramic trimming techni
ques\, learning how to refine pre-prepared pieces to better fit your desig
n\, improve spacing\, and create a more cohesive final result—without sl
owing down the overall process.\n\nDesigned for Visibility and Artistic Ex
pression\n\nEach design has been developed using:\n\n 5-inch numbers for
strong readability\n high-contrast materials\, including bright white por
celain and darker number tones\n layouts that balance beauty with clarity
\n The result is a piece that reads well from a distance while still hold
ing the detail and character of hand-crafted mosaic.\n\nChoose Your Design
(at Registration)\n\nTo ensure a smooth and successful experience\, parti
cipants will choose from a curated collection of designs. Each option has
been developed with a specific size\, layout\, and material package.\n\n
This allows you to focus on the creative process\, while ensuring your pie
ce comes together with clarity and strength.\n Most materials are prepare
d in advance so you can begin working right away.\n A brief 15-minute con
sultation (phone or email) is included after registration to confirm your
design and material selections.\n\nWhat is Included?\n\n Instruction in t
he indirect mosaic method\n Instruction in ceramic trimming and compositi
on refinement\n Materials prepared for your selected design\n A short co
nsultation\n Framing and installation guidance\n 3 class sessions to wor
k with coaching on your project\n\nFinishing Your Piece\n\nYour mosaic wil
l need to cure at home for several weeks before installation\, ensuring lo
 ng-term durability outdoors.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nArt medium: Mosaic\n\nInstructo
 r: Harmony Thiessen\n\nCost:\n\n $215-285 (for three classes\, depending
