DESCRIPTION:Monthly meeting of the Whatcom Art Guild. Guests are welcome to
  attend and get connected with other local artists\, see what we do\, and 
 decide if they would like to join... :)\n\nSpecial Program:\n\nOne of the 
 talented woodworkers at the Whatcom Art Market\, John Trax\, produces beau
 tiful and functional cutting boards\, cheese cutters and serving boards of
  locally selected and imported hardwoods. His woodwork ranges from large c
 ustom kitchen pieces to small laser engraved ornaments and notebooks. Also
  an accomplished photographer\, John’s work is known for precision and h
 eart. He looks forward to sharing with us a woodworker’s relationship wi
 th the wood\, from selection to cut to finish.\n\nOriginally from the Midw
 est\, Dana Hayden worked as a carpenter\, building custom cabinets and hou
 ses. Since 2012 he has studied the art of turning wood using a lathe. Fell
 ow Whatcom Art Market artists know Dana for his impeccable craftsmanship w
 ith live-edge turning\, tiny birdhouses and ornaments\, basket illusion wo
