Join experienced broom maker, Becka Viets of Hexagon Textile & Broom in learning hand broom making basics.

Students will learn with skills to make turkey tail brooms, hawk tail brooms. Class will also cover broom anatomy, lore, history, a demo and hands on broom making time.

Supplies to make two+ brooms are included. Additional supplies will be available for purchase.

Cost: $100 + local sales tax. This includes supplies for two hand brooms

Age Groups: Adults. Need to possess physical abilities to grasp, hold, turn/rotate, maintain tension between a stick under feet and a broom in hands. This class is physically intensive, using foot, hand coordination, wrapping and turning with arms.

Materials provided: Everything will be provided, including broomcorn, nylon twine

Materials to bring: Water bottle and notebook.

Suggested clothing/etc: Sneakers or flat shoes. No clogs, heels over 1″
