“Bellingham Illuminations—Art in a New Light” is an immersive experience showcasing both two-dimensional and three-dimensional art unified by the theme of phosphorescence and light. The exhibit features glow-in-the-dark, fluorescent, phosphorescent, and LED-lit artwork, offering visitors a unique and magical experience.

The exhibit is open to the public from October 31 through November 8th from 11 am to 6 pm daily.
- Visitors are invited to interact with the art, with blacklight flashlights available to reveal the hidden magic of the phosphorescent pieces.
- Additionally, a luminary station will be present, welcoming adults and children of all ages to create their own luminaries to take home, complete with a free flickering flameless votive.
This innovative event will delight visitors with “oohs” and “aahs” as they explore our luminous artworks and leave with their glowing creations in hand.

The event is managed by dedicated volunteers from the Whatcom Art Guild, and all artworks will be available for purchase, with 25% of the proceeds benefiting the Whatcom Art Guild’s WWU Scholarship fund.
