This is the second class of a two-part class scheduled for two afternoons:
- Oct 19, 1:30-4:30: The first afternoon, we will make one of a kind printed papers on the gel plate using acrylic paint and the provided stencils and botanicals.
- Oct 26: 1:30-4:30: The second afternoon, we will use the papers we made to ensemble a concertina book embellishing the pages with stencils, stamps, writing, etc. You will make the book in your own unique design and style.

Instructor Bio:
Candice Christie is a collage mixed media artist who has had gallery representation since 1996. Her journey as an artist started in watercolor but moved to acrylic to get more intensity in color. Soon she was adding papers and other media to her work. Candice uses intuitive choices throughout her creative process. Abstract compositions and the combination of many layers used in her work, creates a depth and mystery that tends to engage the viewer to be part of the process. Candice’s paintings have been purchased by corporations, international visitors, and to people across the U.S., Canada and Alaska. Candice currently shows her work at the Whatcom Art Market in Fairhaven, MONA’s gift store in LaConner, and in two galleries in Alaska.
