You will learn how to make one-of-a-kind prints using a gel plate with three or more layers of paint to make a print. You will use stencils and masks to create these layers. The instructor will also bring some plants for you to make botanical prints. You will be provided with a gel plate, brayers, paints, and paper to print on. Some experience with a gel plate is helpful.

Candice Christie is a collage mixed media artist who has had gallery representation since 1996. She has been using the gel plate to make her own original papers to using in her collage work for over 15 years. She currently shows her work in Bellingham, LaConner and in several galleries in Alaska
