Mosaic Home Address Sign requires three 3-hour classes to complete the project – Sept 19, 26 and Oct 3, 2026

Are you ready to take your mosaic skills to the next level?

This workshop is an opportunity to move beyond simple projects and begin working with greater intention—developing stronger designs, cleaner execution, and pieces that are both beautiful and functional.

Together, we’ll take broken pieces—ceramic and stone—and bring them into relationship to create a custom address sign designed to be clearly seen from the street and to belong on your home for years to come. Weatherproof!

About the Workshop

  • This is a three-session intermediate workshop, designed to give you the time and structure needed to do this work well.
  • We’ll be working with the indirect (reverse) method, allowing you to build your design on a mesh substrate before it is permanently set. This approach supports more precise layouts, smoother finished surfaces, and the ability to adjust your composition as you go.
  • You’ll also be introduced to ceramic trimming techniques, learning how to refine pre-prepared pieces to better fit your design, improve spacing, and create a more cohesive final result—without slowing down the overall process.

Designed for Visibility and Artistic Expression

Each design has been developed using:

  • 5-inch numbers for strong readability
  • high-contrast materials, including bright white porcelain and darker number tones
  • layouts that balance beauty with clarity
  • The result is a piece that reads well from a distance while still holding the detail and character of hand-crafted mosaic.

Choose Your Design (at Registration)

To ensure a smooth and successful experience, participants will choose from a curated collection of designs. Each option has been developed with a specific size, layout, and material package.

  • This allows you to focus on the creative process, while ensuring your piece comes together with clarity and strength.
  • Most materials are prepared in advance so you can begin working right away.
  • A brief 15-minute consultation (phone or email) is included after registration to confirm your design and material selections.

What is Included?

  • Instruction in the indirect mosaic method
  • Instruction in ceramic trimming and composition refinement
  • Materials prepared for your selected design
  • A short consultation
  • Framing and installation guidance
  • 3 class sessions to work with coaching on your project
